As the name suggests, this traditional Tokoname technique that dates back to the Edo period is achieved by wrapping each piece with amamo seaweed before firing. In the kiln, the seaweed burns off, leaving its carbonised silhouette draped across pot.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis kyusu's large size and round shape make it incredibly versatile, suitable for brewing a wide variety of teas for both solo sessions or for sharing. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe teapot's built-in ceramic debeso filter is perfect for naturally straining tea.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis piece was made by Mizuno Hiroshi (水野博司). Born in 1950, Mizuno-san studied under Living National Treasure Yamada Jozan III before developing his own style.
