Japanese Houhin - Swan-Handled Banko-yaki Mesh Teapot - 180ml

This Banko-yaki houhin (handle-less teapot) features a spiraling, weathered clay body decorated with clay swans to aid your grip. Its mesh strainer is perfect for brewing even the most deeply-steamed fukamushi senchas.

Banko-yaki (萬古焼) is a type of Japanese pottery that traditionally comes from Yokkaichi in Mie Prefecture, Japan. Its characteristic purple hue comes from the mixture of red oxidised iron and blue high temperature-baked iron in the clay.
