Ryokudei Pine Bark Textured Tokoname Teapot - 320ml

This delicately crafted Tokoname-yaki kyusu (teapot) is made from is made the iconic Tokoname shudei (朱泥). The body is decorated with a pine bark textured that contrasts with the smooth spout and handle. Made using a small wheel, this texturing technique is called matsugawa (松皮 - pine bark) in Japanese.

This kyusu's 320ml (10.8oz) capacity is an excellent all-round size, suitable for solo sencha sessions and group houjicha helpings alike.

Its built-in ceramic sasame filter is perfect for naturally straining tea, with a wide shape for faster pouring and less clogging.
