Sakura Shudei Tokoname Teapot - 200ml

This unique and elegant Tokoname-yaki kyusu (teapot) is made from the iconic Tokoname shudei (朱泥) clay, decorated with branches of dainty sakura (桜 - cherry blossoms). The handle is ornamented with a carving in the shape of a butterfly.

Its built-in ceramic sasame filter is perfect for naturally straining tea, with a wide shape for faster pouring and less clogging.

Made by award-winning Tokoname craftsman Tsuzuki Seihō (都築青峰). Born in 1944, Seihō-san excels in kyusu crafting and also makes Chinese style teapots and gaiwans from Tokoname clay.
