Faceted Red Nerikomi Tokoname Teapot - 350ml

This large marbled Tokoname-yaki kyusu (teapot) has a tall, cylindrical shape, and is made from red, brown, and green clay kneaded together in the nerikomi (練り込み) technique. The cuts made to create this pot's faceted shape reveal even more layers and patterns of marbling, such as the spiral on the lid.

The teapot's built-in ceramic sasame filter is perfect for naturally straining tea, with a wide shape for faster pouring and less clogging.

Made by the son of famed Tokoname craftsman Konishi Yohei (小西洋平), Konishi Kenji (小西研二), stamped using the name Yusen (友仙) also used by his father.
