Japanese Kyusu - Engraved Tochiri Banko-yaki Debeso Teapot - 180ml

This small Banko-yaki kyusu (teapot) is decorated with a tochiri pattern: fine diagonal slashes made with a razor blade around its exterior. Its built-in ceramic debeso filter is perfect for naturally straining tea.

Banko-yaki (萬古焼) is a type of Japanese pottery that traditionally comes from Yokkaichi in Mie Prefecture, Japan. Its characteristic purple hue comes from the mixture of red oxidised iron and blue high temperature-baked iron in the clay.
