Japanese Kyusu - Large Floral Banko-yaki Mesh Teapot - 600ml

This large Banko-yaki kyusu (teapot) is decorated with floral motifs and a glossy clay finish. Its mesh strainer is perfect for brewing even the most deeply-steamed fukamushi senchas.

Banko-yaki (萬古焼) is a type of Japanese pottery that traditionally comes from Yokkaichi in Mie Prefecture, Japan. Its characteristic purple hue comes from the mixture of red oxidised iron and blue high temperature-baked iron in the clay.
