Japanese Kyusu - Mountainous Engraved Banko-yaki Debeso Teapot - 350ml

This well-made Banko-yaki kyusu (teapot) features purple unglazed clay engraved with moutainous motifs. Its built-in ceramic debeso filter is perfect for naturally straining tea.

Banko-yaki (萬古焼) is a type of Japanese pottery that traditionally comes from Yokkaichi in Mie Prefecture, Japan. Its characteristic purple hue comes from the mixture of red oxidised iron and blue high temperature-baked iron in the clay.
