Japanese Matcha Bowl - 加藤秀山 Katou Hideyama - Blue Shino Mino-yaki Chawan - 300ml

This blue Mino-yaki hantsutsu-gata Shino chawan (matcha bowl) features a textured shino glaze decorated with an iron underglaze. The pinhole texture is typical of Shino ware and is called suana or yuzuhada.

Mino-yaki (美濃焼,) is a type of Japanese pottery produced in Mino Province in Gifu Prefecture, Japan. Since the introduction of mass production in the Meiji period (1868–1912), Mino ware accounts for around 50% of Japanese pottery produced today.
