Spiraling Textured Tokoname Teacup - 90ml

This sleek Tokoname yunomi (teacup) is made from a dark grey clay and has a classic tulip shape with a subtly everted lip. The surface of the clay is left unpolished, giving it a matte finish and slightly textured feel. The cup is decorated with a thin white line of glaze that spirals around the cup and stops at the foot. Inside, the cup sports a light coloured glaze which shows off the colour of the tea.

This cup is a perfect middle size for sencha or other teas. Cups of these size and shape are also called kumidashi (汲出) or senchawan (煎茶碗).
